Bankmed, filmed at Sporting

A contemporary Bankmed advertising campaign shot on the property at Sporting Club Beach — the same shoreline that appears in films from the 1960s, still in use on screen today.

The films on the rest of this archive are from the 1960s. This one is recent: an advertising campaign by Bankmed, one of Lebanon's longstanding banks, with scenes shot on the property at Sporting Club Beach.

It earns a place here for the same reason the older footage does — the club's shoreline keeps turning up on screen. Six decades after Agent 505 used the property as a backdrop, a production crew still arrives, sets up against the same sea, and leaves with the place on film.

Why it's in the archive

We keep this alongside the older film not as promotion, but as evidence of a pattern: the property has been a filming location across generations, from mid-century cinema to present-day brand work. The sea behind the camera is the same one members swim in.
