# Sporting Club Beach

> Beirut's iconic year-round beach club, founded 1953 by George Abou Nassar on the Ras Beirut coastline. Three saltwater pools, four on-site restaurants and bars, scuba diving and water sports, weddings and events. Open every day of the year, including winter. Never closed during the Lebanese civil war. Run by three generations of the Abou Nassar family. Five generations of members.

- The Loft by Sporting — night venue: an indoor bar and lounge, and an open-air summer venue for weddings, DJ parties, and events (seated up to 350 for weddings, 540 for events, up to 1,000 standing)
